The Braves Are A Bunch Of Girls

I am faced with another heart versus head battle in terms of what we should expect against the Braves this weekend.

The Mets draw Derek Lowe, Jair Jurrjens, and Tim Hudson which certainly poses a challenge for Mets’ hitters.  Obviously, the Mets injury situation would give an edge to Atlanta when comparing the lineups on paper.

The Mets are at home, and they are coming off one of their most exciting wins of the year.  So they have that going for them, which is nice.  I also like Dillon Gee matching up against Jurrjens. Maybe he helps the Mets get a win against a guy that they have had trouble against historically.  Regardless,  it looks like it will be  a low scoring affair.

There is one thing that pushed me over in my final determination.  Apparently, the Braves like to dress up like girls.  That has to be a boost of confidence for the Mets as this has to take away any intimidation factor the third place Braves may have possessed.

I originally posted photo evidence but couldn’t bare to look at it.  Hideous.  You’ll have to click the link provided.  I do have some standards.

Once again the Midwestropolitan crack research staff comes through.

I am expecting the Mets to take the series 2-1.

LOL thanks for the link to that pic, i almost spit iced tea onto my keyboard. All i ever hope for as far as playing the Braves is that the guys give it their all and don’t make any ridiculous errors.

I wasn’t sure what to think when I first saw that picture on a Braves blog. I certainly couldn’t sully my website by displaying the picture on my post.

Over the years, the Braves have certainly brought out the best and the worst of the Mets.

I was expecting to read the most offensive post in Midwestropolitan history. You showed restraint. What is this? Old age mellow you out?

There is a good possibility that your statement is true.

I didn’t want to take too much time writing about that scary image for fear it would become imbedded in my brain causing irreparable damage which would stop me from providing the masses with this Pulitzer Prize level material.

Attended the Saturday game at CitiField. Great atmosphere and win. Funny here in NY I don’t think anyone has seen this photo.

First, welcome to Midwestropolitan. Thanks for the comment.

Secondly, I’m a wee bit jealous you got to see the game at Citi. It’s a tough go for me to make games as they are over 700 miles away.

As far as the photo, I was surprised more people didn’t pick up on it in NYC. Seemed like perfect material to give the Braves a hard time about.
